Sustainability

Soaring Sustainably

With climate change affecting all industries — including adventure sports like skydiving — the importance of sustainability has never been clearer. We’re aware that the hours of flight involved in skydiving contribute to a significant carbon footprint. That’s why we’ve taken proactive steps to address this issue.

15 Trees Partnership

One notable initiative we’ve undertaken is our partnership with 15 Trees, a social enterprise based in Victoria, dedicated to offsetting and sequestering carbon through tree planting efforts. Through this collaboration, Skydive Downunder plants 10 trees for every 1000 liters of fuel used during our operations. This not only helps offset the carbon emissions generated by our activities but also supports biodiversity conservation.

Skydive Downunder purchases 10 trees for every 1000 litres of fuel we use. With frequent audits from 15 Trees, you can be sure we are doing all we can to be as green as possible.

A Tangible Impact

Now, each skydive carries a deeper purpose beyond the adrenaline rush. A portion of the proceeds from every jump goes towards planting trees, signifying our commitment to preserving the natural landscapes that enable our adventures. These trees play a crucial role in sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, providing habitats for wildlife, and contributing to the overall health of the ecosystem.

So, the next time you take the leap with Skydive Downunder, you’re not just flying high—you’re also contributing to a greener, more sustainable future.
