Skydive Melbourne
Skydiving in and around Melbourne
Melbourne, the home of Skydive Downunder, proudly stakes its claim as one of the most skydiveable cities in the world. While people flock to Melbourne for its food, world-class coffee, and rich cultural experiences, we like to think they stay for the heart-pounding excitement of adrenaline sports.
So, if you’re in search of a unique way to experience Melbourne’s vibrant energy, why not take a leap into the sky and witness the state of Victoria from an entirely new perspective?
Join us for a tandem skydive in one of three locations across the spectacular state of Victoria.
Torquay
Picture yourself parachuting over the lands of the Wadawurrung People in laid-back seaside haven of Torquay, which lies 120 kms southwest of Melbourne. Picture yourself, dangling under a parachute with a view of one of the most iconic beaches in the state. Beyond Bells Beach, Torquay boasts wineries, breweries, and gourmet restaurants not to mention a spectacular coastline.
The easiest way to get to Torquay is by car. It should take around an hour to dive the 90-odd ks from Melbourne city. If you don’t have your own wheels there are plenty of other ways to get to the area. The train is the easiest, with a connecting bus that stops at the dropzone.
The 12 Apostles
Another mindblowing location for your tandem skydive, is set against the ruggedly unforgettable backdrop of the Twelve Apostles on the Great Ocean Road. During your ascent to your jump height, you will marvel at the beauty of the Bay of Islands, Lord Arg Gorge and the iconic Twelve Apostles.
If you plan to jump at the Twelve Apostles it best if you hang out in the area overnight as there are so many things to see and experience in this spectacular corner of Australia.
Traralgon in the Latrobe Valley
Heading in the opposite direction along the coast, Traralgon beckons with its stunning location in the picturesque Latrobe Valley, situated on the ancestral lands of the Gunaikurnai People. Experience the thrill of skydiving with a unique perspective, as you gaze over expansive farms and national parks, all framed against the backdrop of the twinkling ocean. The dive over Traralgon offers not only a toe curling adventure but also a spectacle that captures the beauty of the region’s diverse landscapes, blending the rural charm of farms with the untamed allure of national parks and the expansive horizon of the sea.
You can conveniently make the scenic two-hour drive to Traralgon, or opt for public transport, allowing you to sit back and relax during the 2-hour and 20-minute journey.
